ABOUT THE IIDA

The International Institute of Data and AI (The IIDA) traces its origins to 1999, when it was incorporated in the State of Delaware. At a time when information technology was rapidly transforming industries, a group of researchers, educators, and experienced IT professionals came together with a shared vision: to advance technology education, provide consulting services to government and commercial organizations, and equip individuals with the practical skills needed to succeed in the digital workforce.

Over the past three decades, the organization has evolved alongside the technology landscape. Today, IIDA operates as an independent nonprofit institute dedicated to advancing research, education, professional development, and certification in the fields of data, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation.

Organizational Structure

The Institute incorporated as a nonprofit public benefit corporation in the State of California. It is designed as a global organization with the following governance principles:

Open membership to individuals and organizations worldwide.

Directors and officers may reside anywhere in the world.

Governance supports virtual board meetings and electronic voting.

Regional chapters or committees may be established as needed under the national organization, rather than creating separate legal corporations in individual states or countries.

Education and certification programs will be delivered through qualified and authorized training partners.
